We're proud to present the 12th Queensland Reds Indigenous Jersey. The 2023 Indigenous Jersey will be worn by the Queensland Reds Men's & Women's team for selected away matches this season.
The jersey features artwork designed by Nelliarnah Salter, who hails from Cherbourg and is a student at Fairholme College, Toowoomba. Nelliarnah's inspiration for the design is a story of resilience, mental strength and communities coming together as one.
Nelliarnah explains her work as follows: "This unique and powerful design depicts the story of resilience and mental strength and proudly represents the fight every day, with the journey wave in the middle portraying the challenges. Not only in our culture but in all cultures. The dots around the journey wave are communities that are coming together as one. The dots in the white, purple and pink circles represent different communities, including Cherbourg and Woorabinda, where the QRU's Future Indigenous Leaders Program have been delivered for the past decade".
The 2023 Indigenous Jersey also showcases the commemorative Queensland Reds 140th year logo.
